I'm making my favorite baby booties again. Our neighbors are becoming first time grandparents! Over the years we have relied on their children to take care of our pets while we traveled and watch our son while we had a night out. We've watched them grow from young children to caring, capable adults.
Our neighbor's son and his wife will be having a baby very soon and I wanted to give them a little something. Of course, I had to make Dream Baby Booties since it is the best pattern I've found. They truly stay on which, as every seasoned parent knows, is difficult to find. Baby toes just seem made to wriggle out of every sock or covering that gets placed on them. I'm also purchasing a copy of one of our favorite books, Everywhere Babies by Susan Meyers illustrated by Marla Frazee. The beautiful and colorful pictures are inclusive of all types of families from all over the world. We have several books illustrated by Marla Frazee and I have yet to be disappointed.
